Nelson-Jameson Inc., a leading wide-line supplier to the food
processing industry for 75 years, is seeking a motivated Technical
Sales Manager to grow its Laboratory category in the core Western
U.S geography of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Utah.
As a member of the Technical Sales Team, you will join a
fast-paced, competitive and entrepreneurial selling environment
where revenue growth is rewarded and earning potential is
unlimited. Responsibilities: Collaborate with Technical Sales
Managers in shared, assigned categories to promote revenue
maintenance and growth aligned with company benchmarks.
Proactively be the technical expert in assigned categories through
continuing education and industry outreach/involvement.
Joint calls with Sales & Product Management to support pre and post
sales activities in assigned categories.
Regular cadence with key customers in assigned categories.
Collaborate with Sales & Product Management to promote key supplier
relationships. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Can
accommodate car and plane travel with 3 to 4 overnights per
3 years of experience in Food Manufacturing and/or Laboratory
instruments, Quality Assurance(QA), and/or Quality Control (QC)
Passion for serving customers in a timely manner.
Extraordinary attention to detail.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Ability to multitask.
Effective communication skills.
Willingness to accept coaching.
Proficient with ERP, CRM, Microsoft Office and basic computer
High School diploma or equivalent.
Primary residence in assigned territory.
Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Post-secondary
education in Food Science, cheesemaking, food production, related
field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Distributor or manufacturer experience selling to industrial food
or other sanitary manufacturing facilities.
Solutions driven with a strong sense of urgency.
A strong team player who can work closely with internal assets to
provide optimized customer solutions.
Experience using ERP software for order entry,
inventory/transaction management, and CRM functions. Nelson-Jameson
