The Account Rep utilizes a consultative sales approach to understand the client's unique challenges and propose solutions to meet active pest control problems and ongoing maintenance needs. The Sales Rep works closely with managers and specialty teams to ensure appropriate pricing structures for proposed solutions, service excellence, and customer satisfaction.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPartner with Directors of Sales and Marketing to implement Sprague's sales strategyPartner with People Operations to hire, train, and develop salespeopleCoordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, operations, and technical services, including but not limited to: market, territory, and competitive analyses, annual pricing reviews, specialty projects and bids, and sales action planningSet targets for sales growth in current and net new accountsCollaborate with service center managers to evaluate their markets, develop sales plans, and achieve sales, customer satisfaction, and profitability objectives Train salespeople to understand and communicate the value and benefits of Sprague products and services to overcome client objections and close dealsCoach and mentor team of salespeople to achieve exceptional sales performanceConduct quarterly and annual performance reviews and recommend compensation adjustments as appropriateConduct regular business reviews with strategic clients to ensure satisfaction, explore changing or emerging needs, and recommend solutions that maximize value for the customer at a fair and profitable price pointRespond to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) timely and accurately, effectively outlining Sprague's competitive advantages and pricing structureDeliver professional presentations or demonstrations to clients, prospective clients, and industry contactsContribute to a favorable public image of Sprague by developing professional relationships and participating in community, industry, and civic groups and eventsQualifications and Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
