their own.Lyons Magnus is seeking a dynamic and skilled candidate
to serve as the Building Maintenance Supervisor. The selected
candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of
buildings and related equipment. This position will receive work
requests, schedule projects order necessary equipment and supplies,
supervise, and direct the work of building maintenance staff and
contractors.The ideal candidate for this role should have knowledge
of industrial-type ventilating, air conditioning, heating, and
refrigeration systems, as well as the methods and techniques used
in the maintenance of heating, air conditioning, electrical,
painting, drywall, and small concrete projects and plumbing
systems. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are also
essential, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and
respond to emergency situations.Salary Range:
$65,000-$70,000/YearDuties and Responsibilities (these duties are a
general summary and not all inclusive):Schedule, assign, and
oversee maintenance and repair projects for buildings and related
equipment, including snow removal operations, while ensuring work
is completed on time and within budget.Receive, prioritize, and
respond to numerous building user requests, determine project
priorities, and schedule projects effectively.Prepare reports on
the status of work, requests, customer complaints, and work
performance as needed; expedite the response time in handling and
resolving routine service calls.Collaborate with staff in the
repair, maintenance, renovation, and upkeep of buildings and
facilities, and coordinate maintenance, repair, and/or construction
projects of facilities with staff and contractors.Consult with
building users and others on complaints and requests regarding
maintenance and custodial services and make recommendations
regarding which projects should be contracted and those that should
be completed by in-house staff.Maintain records and prepare reports
on building maintenance services and coordinate the activities of
the building maintenance staff with those of other
departments.Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential
issues and implement preventive maintenance measures; enforce
safety regulations and adhering to proper safety practices and
procedures.Stay informed of new equipment, methods, and procedures
related to building maintenance and handle both routine and unusual
problems related to building maintenance.Ensure effective
implementation of building maintenance and repair activities and
the quality of work performed while demonstrating knowledge of
hazards and safety precautions of the trade and utilizing
computerized maintenance management systems.Awareness of the types
and uses of industrial-type ventilating, air conditioning, heating,
and refrigeration systems.Knowledge of the methods and techniques
used in the maintenance of heating, air conditioning, electrical
and plumbing systems.Ability to read and interpret documents such
as plans, specifications, blueprints, and drawings.Capacity to work
well under pressure and respond to emergency situations by reacting
and assigning appropriate personnel.Considerable knowledge of
hazards and safety precautions of the trade.Comprehensive knowledge
of the methods, procedures, materials, and techniques used in the
maintenance and repair of buildings and related equipment.Ability
to perform maintenance and repair on a wide variety of building
equipment.Capable to transport heavy loads ranging from 50 to 100
pounds; ability to climb and work from ladder; climbing, standing,
walking, stooping, and bending.Understanding of standard facility
management practices.Experience utilizing computerized maintenance
management systems, Microsoft Office applications including, Word,
Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe.Potential to present information
both orally and in writing in a logical, concise, professional, and
comprehensive manner.Demonstrated knowledge of proper
administrative and fiscal procedures.Minimum of 5 years of
experience in building maintenance, preferably in a food
manufacturing Plant environment.Experience managing a team of
maintenance technicians.Familiarity with computerized maintenance
