Position Summary
The SR. Supply Chain Manager will report to the SR. Director of
Supply Chain and partner closely with the edible nuts team. The SR.
Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and managing all
aspects of estimating, tracking, and providing analytics in support
of edible nuts. The role will inform short-and long-term planning
with analytical analysis of historical data and statistical
projections of essential elements of the edible nut supply. As a
SR. Manager this role leads performance in service and performance
supported by our people.
Position Responsibilities
- Possess and maintain an understanding of supply chain concepts
to include strategy, trends, and systems
- Develop strategies by plant/co-manufacturer to determine how
the organization will deal with all types of variations including
demand, production performance and capacity management
- Establish and maintain adherence to planning parameters in
planning and ERP systems
- Manages performance of short-term planning using various
analytical skills, reports, and exceptions
- Lead/facilitate demand planning activities associated with
major events, transitions, new and discontinued items
- Manage supplier performance scorecards and KPIs and provide
development assistance
- Provide consultative advice within specific functional areas
andintroduce planning methods/procedures that are beneficial for
the organization.Apply advanced planning process principles to
multiple tasks.
- Develop methodologies and perform projections of essential
elements of raw material supply, varietal mix, sizing, and
quality.
- Develop and implement methodologies to establish highest and
best use of varieties and qualities to inform raw material planning
and commodity sales planning.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify
and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective
supply chain.
- Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply
chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent
changes to processes.
- Shares knowledge and provides leadership, development to the
supply chain team to leverage the system and tools to carry out the
execution of the strategy that aligns with the business goals and
objectives.
- Ensures employees adhere to established best practices and
proper training of staff
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Position
Requirements
- Master's degree plus 3 years of supply chain, production,
operations or finance experience reflecting increasing levels of
responsibility; or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years supply chain
management, finance, supplier development, production, or
operations experience reflecting increasing levels of
responsibility; or High School diploma or State-issued equivalency
certificate plus 9 years of supply chain management finance,
supplier development, production, or operations experience
reflecting increasing levels of responsibility or 12 years of
supply chain experience reflecting increasing levels of
responsibility
- Supervisory/managerial experience.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma problem solving methodologies
- 8 years or more of in operational supply chain positions
(planning or supply chain information technology).
- Strong business acumen, planning skills, and ability to
effectively manage internal and external relationships.
- Demonstrated capability in statistical analysis with Python,
Minitab, R or similar
- Experience in supply planning in an agricultural
environment
- Demonstrated supply planning expertise with enterprise planning
systems such as SAP or similar ERP.
- Proven track record of cross-functional project management
leadership.
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities with the flexibility to
adjust as needed.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills
(listening, written, verbal).
- A proven track record of collaboration, delivering results, and
influencing decisions across the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are
required.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven
ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with
vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers is required.
- Embrace curiosity for why - challenge the status quo and
seeking continuous improvement in Supply Chain practices
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills is required.
The pay for this role in the state of California ranges from
$126,086 - $163,913 and is based on the position responsibilities
and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be
determined based on candidate's experience, qualifications and/or
other determining factors.
