Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Rex Moore - Central Valley - Fresno, CAPosition Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayTravel Percentage: Up to 25% Certified Electrical Service Technician: This position will be a part of Rex Moore's Special Services team which provides troubleshooting, repair, and warranty services as well as small scale electrical/lighting installations for the commercial and industrial industry in the Central Valley. The position is expected to work mostly independently with direction from the Service Manager to perform services and tasks. This requires candidates to have troubleshooting skills and experience, critical thinking, self-motivation, organization, and good communication skills. The position will be equipped with a company vehicle, iPad/computer, phone and access to a large assortment of company tools.Responsibilities:Serves as an ambassador for Rex MoorePrioritizing and planning of assigned service assignmentsCommunicating updates associated with assigned service assignmentsEscalating problems when appropriateInteracting in a professional manner with customers to foster positive relationshipsPlanning, developing and procuring a complete material list for service assignmentsPerforming surveys on prospective work by collecting information, taking pictures and developing material list Handle special projects as assigned by Service ManagerScheduled and/or unscheduled overtime work and callouts are to be expectedPerform preventative and predictive electrical maintenance to maintain equipment integrityInspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, switch gear and panelboardsDiagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, lighting systems and equipment using testing instruments and equipment Qualifications: In addition to the tasks listed, the ideal candidate shall have, at minimum:Electrical trades experience with troubleshooting electrical systems, lighting control systems and other misc. electrical itemsPrevious experience working with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, and ability to navigate numerous computer applications and technology independentlyAbility to travel to numerous sites daily and travel up to 1 week at a time with short notice and flexibility to work on weekends and overtimeAbility to work at heights above 15', work in extreme environments, perform prolonged periods of repetitious duties, lift at least 50 pounds frequentlyMust have and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable and safe driving recordAbility to read electrical drawingsProficient at the interpretation and application of blueprints, including architectural, civil, and structural prints.Strong communication skills ability to provide and follow written and verbal instructions.Effectively communicates technical information with peers, assistants, project supervision & other trades.Demonstrate expert proficiency in all basic aspects of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods installation, safety procedures, safe work practices, basic calculations, blueprint, and drawing interpretation & troubleshooting.Demonstrates self-motivation and initiativeExhibits high level of organization throughout work tasks.Demonstrates a positive attitude and eagerness to learn. Education, Certifications, Licenses: High school diploma or equivalentHolds a current General Electrical certification through the state Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibility. Work Environment:Regularly exposed to environmental conditions inside and outside: inclement weather, cold, heat, and humidity. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Frequently exposed to vibrations, moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, machines, dust and chemicals. May be required to function in crawl spaces, shafts, man holes, small enclosed rooms, and other areas of close proximity. Occasionally required to work on elevated surfaces including on ladders and lifts.
