Job Description:

Regional Hand Center of Central California has an exciting opportunity for a Patient Representative to join our team! This at-will full time position enjoys a Monday through Friday, (8:00PM - 5:00PM), with weekends and holidays off.


Purpose:


The Patient Representative will be responsible for ensuring medical records needs are met and delivered timely, while playing a critical role in our call center.


Essential Responsibilities:


Serves as telephone operator for center; routes incoming calls correctly and takes accurate messages when unable to connect caller to requested party


Receives and distributes all mail


Files patient clinical and surgical records, processed labs, pathology reports, and loose correspondence into patient records


Answers calls from Clinical staff pertaining to medical records


Reschedule/schedule/cancel appointments


Process EED/FMLA forms


Verify/update claim information


Chart prep for next day appointments


Process stat referrals and scheduling


Prints all labels, forms, etc for patient charts and assemble charts before appointment


Performs other miscellaneous office/clerical duties as needed


Qualifications:


High School Diploma/GED


Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.


Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with vendors and suppliers.
