Description:The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely payments of all domestic vendor invoices, timely reconciliation of Wells Fargo p-card statements and Concur business expense reimbursements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties as assigned.) Perform Accounts Payable functions, including coding vendor invoices, matching invoices with receiving documents (packing lists) and entering invoices into the system. Process all payments timely (check, wire, ACH, Credit cards payment) to avoid late fees. Timely review incoming mail/invoices from vendors for accurate billing. Timely obtain proper approvals for all invoices prior to payment. Verify Vendor Master data, ensuring that all vendor information is accurate. Generate check, ACH, Wire transfer payments timely to vendor. File all vendor check payments and invoices timely. Ensure vendor early payment discounts maximized. Review and Reconcile PCARD, Concur, General Card, Travel Card, and WEX Card statements timely. Train and educate employees on expense report procedures as well as A/P procedures Review and Reconcile vendor accounts, verifying receipt of open items and payment records. Establish credibility with vendors by maintaining open communications, research and resolving problems. Prepare periodic reports and responsible for yearly 1099 reporting. Assist in special projects and analysis, other tasks as assigned. Maintain accurate invoice processing through Esker A/P solutions. Primary back-up to A/P Supervisor to support international and intercompany payables.Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include the following. Three years Accounting or Bookkeeping experience Preferred SAP experience and in Manufacturing company Experience with data entry, filing and use of PC Intermediate to Advanced Keyboarding/Typing proficiency (40-50 wpm) preferredEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum High School diploma or equivalent Preferred two-year college degree or higher Working knowledge of accounting concepts related to accounts payablesLANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingSKILLS Must possess strong organizational skills and analytical skills Must be highly detailed oriented Must have good verbal and written communication skills Computer skills should include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Multi-tasker; process and results orientedDESIRED TRAITS AND CHARACTERISTICS Continuous improvement mindset Accurate & detail oriented Solution-oriented Well organized Team playerPHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to work extended schedules as needed to meet accounting deadlines.
