-A Quality Assurance Lead is an entry level leadership role within
the Lyons Magnus Quality Assurance Dept. It requires an in depth
understanding of Lyons product/process quality and food safety
systems. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in
a fast paced and dynamic manufacturing environment. -The Lead will
use techniques but not limited to quality and safety
guidelines/SOPs of all product with our plants and equipment
capabilities, accuracy of formulations, GMPs, and HACCP/FSMA
regulations and technical leadership practices to ensure a safe and
whole product is produced. The Lead must communicate any
product/process out of specification/ non-conformance events in a
timely manner to leadership.Without the Quality Assurance Lead, the
Quality Manager or Supervisor will assume the responsibilities
belows. -Pay range: $20-$21/ Per hourSwing or Grave shift includes
a 10% differential. -Description of Responsibilities:Experienced in
batch adjustments for all processing lines, processing line checks
and verifications including brix, viscosity, pH, T.A and any other
analytical analysis as required by a customer or formula.Ensure
Training Matrix is updated and executed for all Quality Assurance
and Laboratory Staff members and all records are audit ready.
-Ensure weekly QA manning plan is completed and updated accordingly
to support production needs.Support Lyons Magnus management of
change process; ensure completion of routing and sign off
documentation and records are organized and effectively
stored.Review all quality and food safety checks in Red Zone for
accuracy and completeness. -All deviations need to be resolved
within 72 hours of checks being completed or documented and follow
up accordingly with personnel or escalating. -Ensure that process
control checklists, as developed, are filled out completely by all
operators (including, but not limited to sterilization check lists,
in-process data sheets, packaging checklists, etc. )Support the
investigation of deviations from operating parameters with
production, technician staff and root cause effectively.
-Coordinate with QA Leadership to create training materials; SOPs,
VWIs and OPLs for the successful implementation and adherence to
company policies Ensure all standards are documented in Lyons
SharePoint site and updated per Doc. ControlSupport the ongoing
implementation of the employee skills and competency matrices and
their respective individual development plans.Ensure all laboratory
equipment and supporting operations measuring devices are
calibrated, verified as scheduled and functioning as designed.
-Troubleshoot and or escalate to vendors for effective repair or
replacement.Support the development and implementation of the
customer and company retention samples program.Review and
communicate label change announcements to Quality
Technicians.Oversees supply inventory of the lab. -Communicates new
product announcements to Quality TechniciansSupport duties as
provided by Quality Assurance Leadership.Supports and communicates
department, plant, and company safety -RequirementsQualifications:
-To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications
listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skill
and/or ability as well as the physical requirements. -Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities:Intermediate working knowledge and experience
using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, MS Dynamics,
RedZone, and Tableau software.A proven track record of exceptional
organizational, planning and overall time management skills in
addition to exceptional verbal and written communication.A
comprehensive understanding of the core competencies of Lyons
manufacturing capabilities, food safety and quality plans. -Problem
solving and critical thinking skills.Education and/or Experience:A
minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. -A minimum of 2
years of successful experience in manufacturing.A comprehensive
understanding of the core competencies of manufacturing
