Your Future.Under direct supervision, executes agricultural duties which include the facilitating and managing the development of compost material, discing, boarder making, puddle dumping, tilling, ripping, and planting. Assists with the proper operational functions of the green waste compost facility, by implementing annual operating plans.What you'll do: Ensures the consistent application of organization policies. Monitors the effectiveness of systems, policies and procedures and makes appropriate recommendations to Management to ensure daily operations are efficient; implements approved changes. Assists with crop management of all ranch property for the benefit of our Waste Discharge Requirement compliance. Operates large tractors to perform, discing, border making, puddle dumping, tilling, ripping, planting etc. Executes field irrigation functions and maintains irrigation equipment Handles agricultural materials, such as pesticides and other agricultural chemicals using tractor equipment in a safe manner Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.What you will need:Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate. Experience operating tractors or farm equipment for a commercial farming organization. Required to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as necessary. Required to lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Skilled in writing simple correspondence. Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers. Candidates for this position must have a valid driver s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver s license or appropriate state driver s license within 30 days of hire. Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
