Position Description Compensation and BenefitsSalary is competitive
and negotiable depending on the strength of qualifications. -This
is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position.The CSU system
provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical,
dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public
Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and
14 paid holidays a year. Eligible employees are also able to

benefit information can be found here .Job SummaryThe Vice Provost
directly reports and is responsible to the Provost and Vice
President of Academic Affairs, serves on the President's Cabinet
and as the senior member of the Provost's Leadership Team,
providing oversight and coordination for all activities and
financial processes in the Office of the Provost. The incumbent
serves as the Provost's designee, is responsible for administration
of Academic Affairs when the Provost is unavailable, and works
directly with the Provost to achieve the goals of the Academic Plan
and the University's Plan for Excellence.Key Qualifications
- Extensive experience developing and managing complex university
budgets.
- Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills.
- Extensive experience leading university accreditation,
campus-wide assessment and program review.
- Extensive knowledge of technology to support academic affairs
initiatives.
- Ability to design, implement and assess innovative programs in
academic affairs.
- Strong track record of community engagement related to
service.
- Successful experience working with an engaged university
community and with programs linking -diverse -student experiences
to the community.
- Demonstrated commitment to faculty governance, faculty and
staff development, consultative processes, and consensus
building.

Experience
- An earned doctorate from an accredited institution. An
outstanding record of teaching, scholarship, service and leadership
commensurate with appointment as a full professor in an area of
specialization offered by one of the academic programs at Fresno
State.
- A minimum of five years of progressive experience and
leadership in university academic administration and budget
management, equivalent to associate dean, dean, associate vice
president or above.Department SummaryThe Office of the Vice Provost
assists the Provost in managing areas such as: budget planning,
implementation, and control; instructional facilities utilization;
development and delivery of information technology services.
