Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic III
Location: Fresno, CA
Pay: $37.18/hr
Preferred Airframes: AH-64, CH-47, & UH-60 but all aviation
maintenance experience considered
Requirements: Personal Tools MandatoryPurpose and Scope:The
Mechanic III leads a team in the performance of aircraft
maintenance, inspections, and scheduled / unscheduled maintenance.
Processes the technical experience to supervise subordinate
mechanics and provide technical guidance on maintenance operations
on the airframe being supported. This individual is capable of
performing, supervising, and inspecting the duties of Mechanic Is,
IIs and IIIs.Essential Responsibilities:Maintains repairs and
modifies aircraft structures, structural components and engines of
complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft
components including but not limited to flight controls, engines,
hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components, and
applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in
determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise
in restoring equipment condition and operation. Applies
professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex
problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or
manufactures' manuals. Will be required to make entries in aircraft
logs and records and is responsible for providing guidance and
technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all
aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts. Use applicable
(ACN, ULLS-A (E), or SAMS-E STAMIS) type systems to input, compile
and record production and quality assurance data. Provides lower
level technicians guidance in aircraft repair and technical
inspection techniques and procedures according to directives,
technical manuals, work standards and operational policies. Ensures
that all Customer and/or Company policies and procedures are being
adhered to; makes on the spot corrections or reports concerns to
the appropriate supervisor. Mechanic III can inspect Mechanic III,
Mechanic II, Mechanic I, and GSE Mechanic work.Perform all other
position related duties as assigned or requested.Minimum Position
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required (Duties include but not
limited to):High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must
have completed military aviation maintenance training or
maintenance technical school curriculum or possess an FAA issued
A&P license. Seven (7) years actual and recent aircraft,
vehicle, missile, or related weapon system experience required.
Incumbent requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft
mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and
replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet
metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to
determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. Detailed
knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque
wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet
metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required. Incumbent must possess
the experience and ability to provide technical support to
structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike; must possess
excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet
aircraft delivery schedule. Previous supervisory experience
desired. Familiar with multiple computer-based programs and have
the ability to research both digital and published media. Shall
work with others and independently, predicated on the scope of
complexity of operations. Shall be able to pass and maintain
Government security clearance as required by the contract unit.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to
operate a government general-purpose vehicle.Work Environment and
Physical Demands:Work Environment:The diversity of work conditions
may range from an environment where there is little or no physical
discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject
individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. Shall
be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May
