The Field Training Liaison, under the general direction of the Systemwide Director Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling program (MACC) is responsible for supporting the field experience activities for all students in the MACC program by establishing and maintaining relationships and communication with field placement agencies, assuring contractual agreements are signed and guiding students through the placement process.

The University is looking to hire a qualified individual for a full-time or part-time position. This primary work location is at the University's Fresno campus, with some flexibility to occasionally work remote.

Duties & Responsibilties:
Analyze student locations (zip code) and identify appropriate placement options.
Seek to establish an affiliation agreement with sites identified as appropriate following remote or in person interviews with the appropriate site personnel.
Work in concert with the MACC Program Faculty and Directors to orient students to practicum/internship process and responsibilities at orientation sessions, meetings and as needed.
Secure appropriate placements for MACC students at the time of their first practicum course.
Assure affiliation agreements and student supervision contracts are signed in a timely manner and stored.
Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or directed.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
Familiar with CACREP accreditation requirements, especially those for field experience and supervision.
Familiar with California state licensure regulations and requirements.
Excellent initiative, time management, and proven follow-through skills.
Good supervisory skills both of staff and students.
Good communication/interpersonal in face-to-face, phone, and written interactions.
Ability to deal effectively with problem and conflict situations. Clinical expertise.
Ability to work in a cooperative and service oriented manner with faculty, staff, and other University administrators.
Possess a vision and commitment to quality service delivery and education and training.
Sensitivity and commitment to provide service to disenfranchised populations.
Ability to establish and maintain collaborative and productive relationships and partnerships with community based organizaions, service agencies, and schools.
Possess excellent leadership and problem solving skills.
Sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interface effectively with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
Proven ability to work effectively as a team player; highy motivated, focused and resultes oriented.
Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal contacts, and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Ability to manage mltiple tasks according to required deadlines, and maintain composure under high stress conditions.
Ability to be optimistic, positive and supportive in all interactions with others.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education : B.A./B.S. from an accredited college or university.
Experience : Two (2) years of work experience in higher education setting and experience working in a community mental health settings.
Licensure, Certifications, etc.: None
