We are looking for a dynamic COTA that wants to be part of a multi-disciplinary team of OTs, PTs, SLPs, PTAs, and aides to provide short term and long term therapy care in a post-acute rehab setting.

 

Community Subacute and Transitional Care Center (CSTCC) is a 106-bed skilled nursing and subacute facility centrally located in Fresno. Part of the Community Medical Centers system, CSTCC is a unique population of transitional patients with need for short term skilled and long term subacute care.

Responsibilities:

In this role, your responsibilites will include but are not limited to:

  • Performs occupational therapy procedures as delegated by an occupational therapist to help acute or rehabilitative patients with mental or physical disabilities attain or regain the highest level of functional independence, and assesses and reports on the patients' progress.
  • Under supervision of an occupational therapist, select therapeutic activities and equipment most appropriate for treatment, assess and record patients' responses and progress, and determine when to adjust or advance patients from less to more strenuous activities. 

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program 
  • Current State of California Occupational Therapy Assistant License or eligible for licensure 
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required within 90 days of hire or transfer into position
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA)
