As a Medical Office Assistant, you are one of the first faces
that our patient's see when they walk in the door. Because of this,

supervise front office workflow and assist lead staff with
monitoring clinic work flow and operations issues, as well as make
performance improvement recommendations. You should feel
comfortable completing a variety of tasks, and should have
high-level problem solving and critical thinking skills. Community

In this role, you will:
- Perform high level clerical duties: advanced registration,
grant program qualifications and complex medical insurance
authorizations and billings.
- Assist with clinic billing stats and work queues.
- Assist with orientation of new staff and staff
- Answer incoming calls and assess each caller's urgency and
priority and either provide information, take messages or forward
to the appropriate party.
- Create new medical record numbers, completes simple
registration and insurance verification.
- Receive referrals from other clinics, hospitals or outside
facilities. Enters information as necessary into the computer and
forwards it to the specialty or PCP clinic for approval.

Experience and Education Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or
Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- 3 years of healthcare clerical/administrative support
- Experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred
