Temporary Faculty Pool-Lecturer in Advertising/Public RelationsJob No: 498129Work Type: Instructional Faculty - Temporary/LecturerLocation: FresnoCategories: Unit 3 - CFA - California Faculty Association, Temporary, Part Time, Faculty - Communications/JournalismTemporary Faculty Pool for the Department of Media Communication & JournalismLecturer in Advertising/Public RelationsPosition Summary:The temporary faculty pool is continuously open, and positions are filled as needed, based on student enrollment and funding.Anticipated availability: Spring 2021 - January 19 to May 21, 2021The successful applicant may teach courses in the Advertising and Public Relations Option of MCJ.Updated for position: Primary instruction will be on-campus once Fresno State repopulates according to CDC guidelines. Appointees will be required to demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Qualifications:RequiredEducation (from an accredited institution or foreign equivalent.): A Master's degree in media, communication and journalism or similar with an emphasis in advertising and/or public relations/strategic communication. Experience: Interest and commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.PreferredEducation: A PhD or MFA in media, communication and journalism or similar with an emphasis in advertising and/or public relations/strategic communication. Experience: Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
