Job Title: Program Director (Non-Profit) – AMOR Wellness Center

Department: AMOR

Supervisor: Executive Director

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., with after-hours as needed

Position Description:

The Program Director for the AMOR Wellness Center will be responsible for developing and implementing AMOR’s vision of a collective impact model at the Center, ensuring that objectives are met. Will be responsible for coordinating activities between tenants, the community and other groups.

Will establish fundraising and development goals, identify potential donors or sources of funding, and plan outreach strategies. Will work with the PR/Media strategist on schedules and forecasts, and plan for special events that publicize the organization and its programs to the community. Will also assist in the development of grant applications or proposals to secure funding.

Will manage the subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. A true supervisor who ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved budgets. Will also have authority for personnel actions with the full support of the Executive Director.

Essential Functions/Accountabilities:

• Supports the values and mission of AMOR

• Ensures that all communications are conducted in accordance with AMOR’s brand identity and standards; conducted in accordance with AMOR’s organizational messaging and strategic direction; with appropriate audiences in mind

• Collaborates with the Executive Director and AMOR staff to develop a strategic plan for the

AMOR Wellness Center using a collective impact model

• Develops measurable goals for the AMOR Wellness Center

• Tracks and reports measurable outcomes

• Creates an annual budget for AMOR Wellness in collaboration with the Executive Director, including sources of funding and fundraising goals.

• Oversees fundraising events

• Creates and sustains major donors’ strategies, tracking interactions and follow-up

• Implements the development plans with the AMOR team to engage donors in accordance with ethical fundraising principles

• Monitors trends in the community or region and adapts fundraising strategies, as necessary

• Identifies grant opportunities, submits LOIs and applications

• Writes and submits required reports, including interim and final reports, as appropriate

• Monitors compliance with proposal objectives and funding agencies reporting and accountability standards

• Tracks grant applications and reporting deadlines

• Makes formal presentation to the AMOR Board of Directors quarterly

• Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading.

• Develops professional contacts with colleagues, attends profession development courses and trainings required by Executive Director

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

• Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management or another relevant field

• 5 years’ non-profit experience, 2 years in supervisory role

• Fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken

• Personal computer proficiency with a variety of programs, including databases, spreadsheets, word processing and presentations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Direct supervision of Community Engagement & Rural Program Coordinator(s)

• Assist ED with supervision of Digital Media and PR Strategist

Work Environment:

• This job mainly operates in a professional office environment. Primary office in Fresno, satellite office in Mendota. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machine

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Requires frequent sitting, walking and standing

• Utilization of office equipment (fax, phone, and computers)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full time at-will position, and work hours are typically Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as department needs demand

Travel:

Travel is primarily local within the Fresno and Clovis areas, with weekly travel to Mendota and throughout Fresno County.

Work Authorization:

Must be eligible to work in the United States and have a current California driver’s license.
