Border Tire is seeking a dynamic Retread Plant Manager to oversee daily operations at our newest Retread Plant in Mentone, CA. This is a high-impact role perfect for a strong leader who thrives on optimizing processes and driving performance./strong/p pThestrongRetread Plant Manager/strongis responsible for leading all daily operations of a Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) certified retread facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and consistent production of high-quality Michelin retreads while maintaining strict compliance with MRT standards, quality requirements, and operational best practices. The Plant Manager drives performance through strong leadership, disciplined processes, and continuous improvement./p p/p pstrongKey Responsibilities:/strong/p ul liEnsure full compliance with all Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) standards, audits, and certifications./li liOversee all phases of the MRT process including casing inspection, repair, buffing, building, curing, finishing, and final inspection./li liMaintain Michelin-required documentation, process controls and quality records./li liPrepare for and lead Michelin audits, address findings promptly and effectively./li liEnsure proper handling, tracking and grading of customer and company-owned casings./li liPlan, schedule and manage daily production to meet customer delivery and volume targets./li liMonitor plant KPIs including throughput, yield, scrap rates, downtime and labor efficiency./li liEnsure equipment reliability through preventative maintenance and timely repairs./li liCoordinate workflow to maximize plant efficiency and minimize bottlenecks./li liEnforce OSHOA, environmental and Michelin safety standards./li liPromote a string safety culture through training, audits and daily accountability./li liInvestigate incidents and implement corrective actions./li liLead, coach, and develop supervisors and production employees./li liManage staffing levels, training, scheduling and labor productivity./li liConduct performance evaluations and corrective actions as necessary./li liBuild a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement./li liManager tread rubber, envelopes, cements, casings and other retread materials./li liControl costs related to labor, materials, utilities, maintenance, and scrap./li liEnsure proper casing inventory accuracy and traceability./li liDrive lean manufacturing and waste reduction initiatives./li liAnalyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement./li liImplement best practices aligned with Michelin recommendations./li liCommunicate effectively with sales, center managers and senior leadership./li liProvide regular reports on production, quality, safety and financial performance./li liAddress customer concerns related to retread quality or delivery./li /ul p/p pstrongQualifications:/strong/p ul li10 years of manufacturing or industrial operations experience/li li5 years of supervisory or plant management experience./li liDemonstrated ability to lead teams and manage plant operations./li liStrong working knowledge of LEAN methodologies and experience implementing (Preferred)./li liStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills./li liProficiency in Microsoft Office and production management systems./li /ul pstrong/strong/p pstrongCompensation:/strong/p ul liBase Salary ranges from $100,000 - $125,000 per year/li liRole qualifies for incentive bonus dependent on performance of plant, including but not limited to productivity and overhead costs/li /ul pstrongBenefits:/strong/p ul liComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance./li liSafe Harbor Retirement savings plan with company match./li liPaid time off and holidays./li liOngoing training and professional development opportunities./li liOpportunity to work with a leading company in the commercial tire industry./li /ul p/p pReady to lead the way?
