The warehouse associate is mainly responsible for the loading and unloading of products, rebuilding them into shippable pallets, and other general warehouse functions.Summary of Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Associate

• Unloading and loading product from trucks/vans using conveyor belt system
• Rebuilding product into palletized shipments
• Clean and sort cardboard and Styrofoam into appropriate containers or piles for processing
• Sort other high grade materials such as copper into separate high-grade bins for resale
• Operate balers or melters to compress materials into bundles or bales
• Deposit recovered materials onto pallets to prepare for shipment
• Order pulling
• Inventory control
• Warehouse cleaning
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move prepared recyclables into storage spaces or shipping spacesSummary of Experience and EducationWe require our warehouse associates to hold a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); have six (6) months or more related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience..
  
  Requirements:
  
  • Warehouse associates must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Warehouse associates must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
  • Warehouse associates must be available to work M-F with Saturday rotationsPhysical DemandsThis position may require the Warehouse Associate to lift/negotiate up to 400 lbs. assisted at a time as well as be on their feet for extended periods of time while squatting, bending, pulling or lifting. Also, must be able to maneuver, bend, squat and crawl while utilizing hand tools and other equipment.
