Westmont Living of Fresno - an assisted living community, is
looking for a full-time, seasoned - Chef - that will manage the day
to day production in the restaurant and provide an excellent

position provides for a high level of customer service to
residents, team members and families and is responsible for
managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Culinary
Department, including the kitchen and dining room areas, while
controlling expenses and maintaining resident satisfaction.
Position Requirements Able to communicate written and orally in
English. Have a minimum of two years experience in volume food
preparation, including Must be at least 21 years of age. Experience
in proper food handling, preparation and storage. 2 years
supervisory experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. Formal
Culinary Training preferred. Certified safe food handler Maintain
state or county food handler's permit, if required. Be able to lift
up to 30 lbs., constant standing required Knowledge of state
regulations and health laws pertaining to Culinary Services Have
strong organizational skills including the ability to follow-up,
multi-task, and be detail-oriented Strong customer service skills
Basic knowledge of budgets; creating, managing and compliance.
Management and supervising experience, including hiring, training,
coaching and counseling. Able to actively foster and cultivate a
team and community culture that is consistent with the Westmont
Living Service Standards Team Inventory Responsible for monitoring
all inventory and staying within budgetary guidelines. Order all
necessary food and food service supplies and chemicals on a regular
basis, according to established vendor schedule and approved
ordering system. Managing Team Members Supervise, train and
schedule of all culinary services team members within approved
budgetary guidelines and maintain an efficient and organized team.
Ensure special dietary needs are met, are within the approved
special diet guidelines, and resident preferences are considered
Safe Food Handling and Sanitation Ensure that safe food handling
and sanitation is followed in the kitchen and dining room.
Production Ensure the dietary requirements are met and that the
culinary program adheres to company policy, as well as state and
local regulations. Ensure meals are prepared using approved menus,
recipes and other supporting materials. Ensure meals are presented
in an attractive manner that is appealing. Westmont Living is an
