love where you do it. Located in downtown Fresno, Community
Regional Medical Center is the region’s flagship hospital and home
to the only Level I Trauma Center between Los Angeles and
Sacramento. As a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) on our
cardiac surgery team, you’ll be part of a 40-member team —
including three RNFAs — supporting procedures across Community
Regional, Clovis Community, and Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital.
Provide intraoperative support under the direct supervision of the
surgeon, assisting with surgical exposure, hemostasis, and other
technical functions to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborate with
cardiovascular surgeons and multidisciplinary teams on more than
100 cardiac surgery cases each month, helping uphold excellence,
sterile technique, and evidence-based best practices. Function as a
Scrub or Circulating Nurse when not serving as RNFA, maintaining
readiness to assist with cases across all three campuses.

\n\nQualifications:\n Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in
Nursing, Public Health, Physiology, Healthcare or related field
required Successful completion of an RNFA program that meets the
Association of Perioperative RN (AORN) standards required
Credentialed by the CHS Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health
Professional and privileged to perform RN First Assistant
standardized procedures required 1 year of relevant experience
required Licenses and Certifications RN - Current and valid
Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
required BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare
Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required ACLS -
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required within 180
days of hire or transfer into position CNOR - Certified Operating
Room Nurse from the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI)
