Description:
Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, Emergency Room, this position is responsible for general nursing care, procedures and related services within the LVN scope of practice for assigned patients, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Practice Provider (APP) or Medical Doctor (MD) in accordance with established policy. Participates in the planning for and provision of care. Uses knowledge of asepsis in performance of treatments and or interventions ordered. Provides functional direction to ancillary
personnel.
REQUIREMENTS

• 
  High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  
  
• 
  One year experience in an emergency care setting is required.
  
  
• 
  Current licensure as a Vocational Nurse with the State of California is required.
  
  
• 
  Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
  
  
• 
  Training (in compliance with SAMC workplace violence policy) for care of behavioral health/aggressive-combative patients, families, visitors, etc., is required within three (3) months of hire into position and annually thereafter.
  
  
  Pay Range $ 27.13 - 37.99
