As a Nurse in our 1 East Medical Surgical unit, you will have the opportunity to encounter a broad range of medical conditions, all while working with a collaborative team that encourages growth and learning. In this 36-bed-unit, our nursing team provides caring and individualized attention to acute patients ranging from young adult to end of life patients. You will work to promote health, prevent disease, and help patients who are hospitalized for a wide variety of diagnoses and care needs, including surgery or testing and observation until the time of discharge.

Our team regularly participates in educational activities to maintain competence, gain new knowledge and develop skills. Our nurses are encouraged to become nationally certified through the Medical Surgical Nursing Certification Board and/or the American Nurses Association-certification fees are reimbursable after achieving certification!

Qualifications

Education

--- Graduate of approved nursing program required

--- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

--- Consistent demonstration of Novice / Advance Beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency required

Licenses and Certifications

--- RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required

--- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
