A hospital in California is seeking a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician to provide quality patient care for a Locum Tenens assignment.
Assignment:Dates: Immediate credentialed- end of SeptemberSchedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSetting: InpatientCall: 1 week a month, Weekend- see all providers patients, (about 30) over the weekend o Call 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM can be via phone Friday 5:00 PM - Monday 8:00 AM Admitting includedVolume: 12-15 patients per day Monday - Friday. 30patients seen throughout the weekend while on callPatient Ages: 18+Procedures: None- Intensivist Radiologist or other departments handle all proceduresCases: Stroke, trauma, spinal cord injuries pulmonary issues, neurologic limitations, orthopedic limitations, dialysisLots of complex patientsRehab departments handles everything- most other specialties will not consult, will refer out to other departmentsManage patients in rehab: admissions and discharge, inpatient careSupport Staff: Solo provider for the most part. Medical Director see's patients and another part-time physician. PA on staff as well, and all otherEMR/Charting: Epic- Must have experience
