Job Description:

As a nurse in Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CPCU), you will have unique opportunities to learn at every corner. In your role, you will care for medical telemetry patients, assisting them with knowledge of disease processes and health maintenance.

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit is the largest inpatient unit in the hospital with 64, monitored beds. You will provide care to Cardiac patients with various medical comorbidities such as End-Stage Renal Disease, Diabetes, and CHF. In the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit, you will also care for patients with various respiratory diseases requiring adjunct Oxygen delivery such as BiPAP and CPAP.

Your best day is when you and your team members discharge patients knowing you delivered compassionate, quality, efficient care. RN to patient ratio is 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the acuity of the patient. It's a team environment looking for self-driven, highly-detailed nurses who communicate well.

Experience and education minimum requirements

Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program.
Licenses and certifications minimum requirements

Graduate of approved nursing program required.
RN, current State of California Registered Nurse license required.
BLS, current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Electrocardiogram (EKG) Analysis Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job.
