Overview: Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is the
flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers - a not-for-profit
healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest

positions. Responsibilities: Community Regional Medical Center
(CRMC) is adding an additional position to its existing staff of
Neuroscience Registered Nurses. The Neuroscience Unit is a 52 bed
unit that consists of: 12 intermediate care (neuro step down) beds
and 40 general neuro care beds, with telemetry monitoring
capability for 32 patients . RN to patient ratios for both units is
1:4 -1:5 for the general neuro and 1:3 for the neuro step down

Medical Center is seeking nurses like you for challenging work, 12
hour shifts. We share responsibilities, and will provide
opportunities for leadership, commensurate with your experience and
skill set. In this role you will deliver specialized nursing care
to a diverse patient population in both units. In addition to
stroke, diagnoses our patients carry are: traumatic brain injury,
epilepsy, intracranial aneurysm, brain tumor, multiple sclerosis,
spinal injury or disease, and other neurological disorders . With
opportunity for growth in skills and educational training you can
receive different certifications (ie SCRN, CNRN, PCCN, MSRN etc. ).
Our Neuroscience 9W department is a special, family oriented unit.
The team is nurturing and supportive with lots of resources at your
fingertips. Qualifications: Minimum requirements include;
Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program. Current
RN license for the state of California, BLS and Adult Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire or transfer
into job. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Course
must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into job.
Qualities and experience we are looking for:
- Ability to work closely with neuroscience team members.
- Excellent communication & problem solving skills.
- Desire to work closely with skilled neurosurgeons, in all areas
of this specialty, including trauma cases.
