Position Description Director of Programming
(Administrator II)INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLYCompensation and
BenefitsThe Anticipated Hiring Salary is $85,000 - $105,000 per
year and is competitive and negotiable depending on the strength of
qualifications. -This is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP)
position.
- Area of consideration is limited to on-campus, state funded
employees only.The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit
package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership
in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS),
sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Eligible
employees are also able to participate in the fee waiver education

SummaryContinuing and Global Education's Director of Programming is
an Administrator II position within the California State University
Management Personnel Plan (MPP) and serves at the pleasure of the
University President. The Director of Programming serves on the
Division Leadership Team and reports directly to the Dean of the
division of Continuing and Global Education. -Key Qualifications
- Institutional planning, budget processes and ability to analyze
and interpret financial data and make strategic business
decisions.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in the
coordination of staff and resources such as strategic planning,
resource allocation, and human resources.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of effective
leadership, motivation, and performance evaluation.
- Familiarity with campus consultative processes for program
development.
- Knowledge of Financial Aid distribution, practices, and
procedures.
- Understanding of University Admission processes.
- Knowledge of computer office systems and ability to use a broad
range of technology, systems, and software packages (Microsoft
Office Suite, Google apps).
- Knowledge of effective use of item types, item codes, and
position numbers.
- Knowledge of supplanting restrictions in California Educational
Code.
- Develop and direct program activities to achieve strategic
objectives, inform decision-making, and heighten the impact of
services on student success. -
- Ability to develop and implement short and long-term plans and
initiatives to meet established goals and objectives.
- Exercise sound administrative judgment and initiative in the
development of new methods and procedures and in the solution of
difficult personnel problems.
- Provide effective leadership, collaborate willingly with others
and show courtesy and respect.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and responsive skills to
establish and maintain professional and cooperative working
relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, students, as
well as other stakeholders and partners outside of Fresno
State.
- Ability to plan, direct, and control the activities of the
departments in regard to human and fiscal resources.
- Interpersonal skills with demonstrated commitment to serving a
diverse population with cultural competence, sensitivity and
diplomacy and tact.
- Manage and supervise the work of staff, facilitate group
participation, consensus building and foster employee development
through coaching, counseling, and training.
- Ability to supervise course setup, including appropriate
application of enrollment and fiscal PeopleSoft fields .

- Three years progressively responsible professional experience
related to developing adult education.
- Minimum 2 years' experience with budgeting.
- Minimum 2 years' experience performing object level chart field
