Overview

ResponsibilitiesThe Vice President of Network Development and
Ambulatory Growth is responsible for positioning Community Health
Partners (CHP) in a strategic position that allows for growth of
covered lives, increased market share, profitability and new
program development. This key leadership position will develop and
oversee all aspects of the provider network strategy and lead the
successful development of the provider network, including business
development, recruitment, contracting, communications and
management of provider relationships. The VP approaches the role
from a result-driven and goal-oriented perspective, approaching
tasks with an innovative mindset to ensure CHP's expansion and
success. -Accountabilities -1. Responsible for the overall
planning, strategy, development and growth of key strategic
services for CHP's provider network and ambulatory/outpatient
services.2. Monitors market forces and changes in the local and
national market relative to service trends, growth and changes that
may have an impact on CHP's strategic direction.3. Collaborates
with CHP leaders to ensure appropriate due diligence,
organizational alignment and affiliation structure of acquired
medical practices.4. Leads and manages a high performing team who
develop, negotiate, contract and enhance collaborative provider
relationships, ensuring overall network competitiveness and
profitability within market.5. Formulates engagement and
contracting strategies to drive provider participation in areas
including, but not limited to, Primary Care, Specialty Care,
Ancillary Services, etc.6. Recruits and ensures provider network
includes an appropriate mix of provider specialties to meet the
needs and growth of membership.7. Monitors and reports on the
provider network's performance with regard to provider membership,
lines of service, risks, budgets and benefit related outcomes;
recommends corrective action, as needed.8. Responsible for the
overall management of strategic and operational marketing,
communication and brand management activities supporting goals of
the system, providers and service lines. Develops
marketing/communication campaigns for new products and services.9.
Oversees provider relations operations to monitor and ensure
service issues are resolved, including escalated claims
payments/disputes, contracting accuracy and credentialing. Also
ensures that providers understand the resources available within
the health system and that, to the extent possible, provider
referrals are directed within CHP/CHS.10. Provides high quality,
evaluative thinking and evidence informed analysis and advice to
the executive team to support their decision-making, sanctioning of
initiatives/programs and escalation of issues, including a
coordination of discussions and remediation actions, related to
program and initiative performance.11. Directly responsible (with
support from Human Resources) for employee engagement and people
management processes including interviewing and selection, time and
attendance approval, providing timely feedback and performance
evaluations, employee development, employee retention, disciplinary
actions and terminations.12. Performs miscellaneous job related
duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation--- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare
Administration, Business Administration or relevant field required
-Experience--- 7 years of experience in a healthcare or medical
group management setting, including experience in provider network
relations and business development required--- Knowledge and
experience in strategic planning and management theories and
techniques for effective network development required
