Job Description:
Responsible for the coordination of the materials management
system throughout the hospital with regards to procurement,
processing and distribution of materials and services. This system
should meet or exceed the requirements of the hospital and be
accomplished at the most favorable cost. Reasonable accommodation

equivalent.Bachelors Degree preferred.Minimum Work Experience: Five
years of experience in materials management preferred.Healthcare
experience required. Required Skills:Knowledge of Joint Commission
and state regulations.Ability to communicate effectively in
English, both verbally and in writing.Ability to demonstrate clear
oral and written communication skillsAbility to effectively plan
and prioritize work.Ability to maintain collaborative working
relationships to ensure a positive and productive work
environment.Ability to provide exceptional customer
service.Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office and/or
related software.Essential FunctionsCoordinates productive hours,
space, equipment and expense as they relate to materials and
services contracts.Develops policies and procedures in the areas of
procurement, inventory control, receiving and storage,
distribution, duplicating and mail transport throughout the
hospital.Interfaces directly with all departments in the hospital
with regards to materials that have been requested to ascertain
specifications and need.Is essential in the involvement of all
aspects and functions of the department.Maintains adequate
operating supply levels in the facility and coordinate timely
supply distribution.Maintains biomedical equipment in good working
order.Maintains good interdepartmental and intradepartmental
relationships by providing the highest level of services,
management assistance and open communication.Resolves personnel
concerns at the departmental level, utilizing the grievance process
as required.Reviews for approval all duplicating requirements of
the various departments of the hospital with the highest level of
service, management assistance and open communication.Other duties
