Position: Human Resources Manager
Overview: Your mission is to own the development and implementation
of HR best practices that support the goals of Aplos. A happy,
healthy, high-performing, and diverse workforce is critical to
ensure our collective success and attainment of corporate
goals.
Your role will be both strategic and collaborative and is suited
for someone who will thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will
be instrumental in developing programs that enhance employee
engagement and maintain high employee morale and company culture.
You will be responsible for the daily functions of the HR
department including administering pay, benefits, and leave,
employee onboarding, performance & talent management, and enforcing
company policies and practices.
You will be reporting directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:
Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include
recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants,
particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles;
collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and
competencies required for openings
Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the
organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as
it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting,
retention, and succession planning
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs,
with a focus on developing programs that enhance the employee
experience
Oversees the administration of payroll and benefits, including
oversight of systems, including maintaining the integrity of
payroll and benefit records, auditing payroll in coordination with
the Finance team, and monthly reconciliation of benefit invoices to
ensure accuracy in coverage for employees
Provides support and guidance to staff when complex, specialized,
and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to
administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such
as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations
of wrongdoing, and terminations
Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and
proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the
organization attracts and retains top talent
Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that
provide internal development opportunities for employees
Supports the leadership team in analyzing quarterly engagement
surveys and makes recommendations that build and maintain a highly
engaged, effective workforce
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and
investigations
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies
and practices to maintain compliance
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes,
and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and
employment law
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when
appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and
confidentiality
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's
HRIS and talent management systems
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or
related field
A minimum of three years of progressive experience in HR management
preferred
SHRM-CP or PHR highly desired
