Job Description:
Territory Business Manager - Fresno & Bakersfield, CA We have an
exciting opportunity available for a Territory Business Manager
(TBM) in the Fresno/Bakersfield territory. Reporting directly to
the District Business Manager, this individual will maximize the
sale of MannKind products within the geographic territory, and
drive sales growth in line with our marketing/brand strategy.
Accountabilities will include:
- Achieving identified sales targets (No mirror sales rep.)
- Delivering effective sales presentations to targeted
customers
- Identify and establish customer relationships, maintain
in-depth knowledge of disease state, products, competition, and
territory
- Maintain agreed upon budgets and associated timelines for the
territory Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of latest clinical data, industry changes,
and medical data and pass this information to healthcare
professionals
- Maintain sales records and histories and report sales activity
to management, via monthly reports and analyses
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as
needed
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending
training, reviewing professional publications, establishing
personal networks
- Ability to learn, analyze and understand and convey technical
complex information
- Fully comply with all laws, regulations, company policies, Code
of Conduct, all privacy and data guidelines, relevant to state and
federal laws and regulations and terms prescribed in the PDMA
Guidelines
- Participate in teleconferences and district meetings and
training sessions as required
- Represent Company at National and/or local conventions when
requested
- Responsible for observing all Company, Health, Safety, and
Environmental guidelines
- Duties and responsibilities are not limited to the work listed
above and may include other assignments as necessary. Education and
Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience selling in a complex and
competitive environment
- Prior diabetes sales and/or pharmaceutical sales required
- Knowledge of medical, healthcare or pharmaceutical
industry
- Skills in clinical selling
- The ideal candidate will have a track record of documented
sales in a highly competitive field
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Must live within territory boundaries
- Must be able to understand regulations related to the
healthcare industry
- Self-motivated and be able to take initiative
- Demonstrated judgment and decision making
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong
time management skills
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle with the ability to
deliver a clear and concise selling message in a professional
manner
- Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to
prioritize activities and meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Appropriately use Mannkind's Marketing and Sales tools to
