Great company is looking for a Northern California Irrigation Regional Sales Manager. This is a Direct Hire Opportunity. The territory is Sacramento all the way into Oregon. Email your resume to if you are interested. - JOB SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the National Sales Manager, the Irrigation Regional Sales Manager formulate and implement sales activity and account management strategies to achieve territory revenue objectives, including growth in the existing base business and pursuit of new opportunities. This is a systems & solutions sales position requiring a high level of personal discipline and motivation including the ability to work with minimal supervision in a strong team-oriented environment. The position will require business travel to client locations, dealer locations, and other business related locations. Position work location will be at the Riverside corporate office and/or from a remote home office. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: --- Requires a high energy, hands on, well organized, Equipment Sales Manager with superb presentation skills. --- Project a professional and personal image that builds confidence and trust and have prior experience within the irrigation markets, including but not limited to farming, turf, landscape and other related applications. --- Requires prior knowledge of filtration processes and their uses and applications to understand the market, industry, products and their applications. --- Ability to effectively prospect for new opportunities with existing and emerging product offerings. --- Supports and develops sales from leads, inquiries and proposal requests and provides product support for major projects. --- Must demonstrate ability to manage a multi-million dollar sales plan. --- Established experience working with dealer networks and calling on end users, specifying engineers, and sales organizations is highly preferred. --- Establish new accounts by demonstrated problem solving abilities and proper product application. --- Build personal/professional relationships with existing and prospective new clients. --- Ability to perform technical service support and problem solving to retain and expand business with current and prospective new clients. --- Conduct hands on inspection of water treatment equipment such as Sand Media filters, Manual and Automatic Screen Filters, etc. --- Analyze water chemistry, total suspended solids, and equipment operations, explaining their significance to clients and recommending remedial action where necessary. --- Grow current dealers/distributors list to enhance sales opportunities. Meet or exceed sales budget goals. --- Analyze territory to participate and make recommendations during meetings and strategic planning for growth of territories for short and long term company sales goals. --- Travel to client and dealers/distributors locations to conduct training, grow and enhance relationships, present new products, etc. ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: --- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree; or equivalent of Associates with longer term job experience. --- Previous Industrial Sales Manager experience, 5+ years. --- Previous water treatment sales experience or related field, 5+ years. --- Previous water filtration system experience, 5+ years. --- High-level leadership and decision-making skills. --- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite software, at Intermediate to Advanced experience level. --- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills to communicate effectively and interact with clients, all levels of management and staff. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. --- Professional conduct and appearance. --- Ability and desire to want to grow and be a team player within our organization. --- Ability and availability to travel 40% to 50%, both domestically and internationally to client locations and trade shows. Must have, or be able to acquire, a valid passport for international travel.
