Position Purpose Cargill Protein has an exciting Accounting and Finance position at our processing facility in Fresno, CA. This position is a key member of the location management teams for various areas of the business on-site. This role is responsible for partnering with the plant operations team to ensure accurate and useful management reporting is developed and implemented. This includes weekly operational statistics, review of P & L reporting, budget analysis and margin reporting. This individual will also help lead the fiduciary role by ensuring strong internal controls and ensuring financial reporting is delivered accurately and in a timely manner. This position will report to the plant A & R Costing Sr. Analyst and help lead the staff. Principal Accountabilities 30%: - Responsible for management reporting and analysis to both internal and external entities. This includes review of P & L operating results, annual budgets, expense and pricing analysis, and ad hoc analysis, as requested. 25%: - Fulfill business partner role as a key member of both plant management teams. Key contributor in the decision-making process by providing business and financial analysis and expertise for all areas of the plant. 20%: - Assist in leading the fiduciary and financial management role.This includes Information Protection, reviewing and maintaining the internal control environment, preparation and review of financial reporting to McDonald's, and Site Record Management Coordinator. 15%: - Participate in building a high performing team 10%: - Participate in various business projects as finance lead, along with active involvement in BU mini-audits for both facilities and other projects as requested. Minimum requirements - 4 year Accounting or Finance degree or relevant work experience - 1-2 years accounting experience - Strong technical skills, especially in MS Excel Success Factors - Highly analytical, can bring insights and drive change - Driven, self-motivated, positive, responsible, accountable, flexible - History of providing accurate and timely results - Ability to work successfully in both a team environment and independently - Demonstrated strong fiduciary skills and understanding of and commitment to internal control - Demonstrated self-starter with continuous improvement mindset - Demonstrated leadership skills - must be able to manage projects to successful conclusion - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred - Meat Processing experience - Cost Accounting Experience - Comfortable working in an SAP, JDE or Similar ERP System - Exposure to IPFS, CBS, and Prism would be an advantage Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
