Overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. 2. Participating in regular tax audits and payroll. 3. Preparing budgeting reports and forecasting revenue. 4. Managing month-end and year-end closing. 5. Monitoring the daily performance of the accounting department. 6. Organizing financial data into useable information and maintaining updated records. 7. Tracking the progress of financial and accounting objectives. 8. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you'll need the following qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or a related field. 3. Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant. 4. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 5. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. 6. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables. 7. Excellent numerical skills with an attention to detail. 8. Time-management abilities. 9. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data. 10. Proven experience in reconciliation and other related financial tasks.
